> hoburne torbay's environment policy
Welcome to Woodliffe Caravans at Hoburne Torbay in Paignton, South Devon.
With regular coverage on the television and in the press there can now be little doubt concerning the influence that human
activities are having on our environment. As we become increasingly aware of the effects of our influence and understand
how we can reduce our negative impacts, it has become apparent that we must take a more proactive approach to our
environmental responsibilities.
To help meet these responsibilities Hoburne have formulated and adopted the Hoburne Environment Policy, a policy which
commits the organisation to integrating environmental considerations into all aspects of business operations. This process will
take time to implement and will be on-going; however, a number of measures will be adopted very quickly, including extended recycling
facilities and measures to encourage and support local wildlife with bird boxes and bat boxes.
Hoburne Torbay are proud to have been awarded the prestigious David Bellamy Conservation Award - one of the key aims of which is to encourage biodiversity on the park by increasing the number of native plants and animals, making it an oasis for wildlife and a delight for human visitors.
Exciting developments are planned for 2008, including the provision of further bird and bat boxes, the planting of flowers and shrubs specifically to encourage wildlife, a nature trail with interpretation boards and a separate menu in the restaurant offering a range of locally-sourced and organic produce.
We look forward to hearing from you!
